KNIGHTDALE, N.C. — A 34-year-old man faces multiple charges after a police chase in Wake County Friday morning.

The Wake County Sheriff's Office said the department received a tip just before 6 a.m. of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Watkins Town Road in Raleigh. When deputies tied to pull over the vehicle, the driver didn't stop.

The chase ended about an hour later at the intersection of Knightdale Boulevard and Hodge Road in Knightdale. It was not immediately clear how the chase ended, but there were no injuries.

Jason Earl Anthony was charged with speeding to elude arrest, careless and reckless driving, injury to personal property and resisting, obstructing and delaying an officer.

Anthony posted bond Friday afternoon and was released from jail.

"If people were not paying attention as good as they were, I think it would have been horrific for everyone," said witness Claudia Rodgers.
