Man charged in Goldsboro shootings

Goldsboro, N.C. — A 19-year-old Goldsboro man is facing felony charges after allegedly shooting two people Friday night.
Goldsboro police said Monday that James Nathan Crawford Jr., of the 1700 block of South Slocumb Street, was charged with two counts each of robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
Police went to the 2000 block of South Slocumb Street about 6 p.m. Friday in response to a report about a shooting and found two women with gunshot wounds. Shelly and Linda Turner, of the 400 block of Best Street, were taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where they underwent surgery.
A third person, Daniel Turner, had minor injuries and was treated and released.
Police said Crawford knew the victims. He was held in the Wayne County jail in lieu of $200,000 bond.
