Raleigh, N.C. — A man faces charges in connection with a fight with his brother on a JetBlue flight diverted to Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
Andrew Mark Thompson was charged in connection with the Saturday incident on the flight from Boston to Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Flight 455, which had left Boston over two hours late, landed at RDU at 5:40 p.m. after Thompson and his brother got into a fight on a plane. The name of Thompson’s brother was not released.
The North Carolina Attorney General’s office said Thompson was cited for intimidation and violence and assaulting another person on the flight.
RDU police met the plane and held Thompson until FBI agents arrived. The FBI handles in-air incidents because they come under federal jurisdiction.
