Fayetteville, N.C. — A Fayetteville man faces second-degree rape and sexual battery charges in connection with an Oct. 14 sexual assault, police said Wednesday.
Mica Champagne, 27, of Hewitt Drive, was arrested Oct. 31 and released on a $20,000 bond.
Police say Champagne met the victim at a party and assaulted her while she was physically unable to give consent.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call police at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
