— A 40-year-old Durham man was charged with murder in the shooting death of an acquaintance outside a convenience store on Holloway Street Thursday night.

Officers responding to a call found Manuel Erazo Oseguera, 32, of Durham, lying in the parking lot at 2502 Holloway St. shortly before 9 p.m. Police said Oseguera had been shot once in the chest, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Romualdo Erazo Ruiz, 40, of Farm House Lane, was charged in his death.

Investigators said that the shooting was not a random act of violence and that Ruiz and Oseguera knew each other.

Anyone with additional information should call police Cpl. S. Pennica at 919-560-4440, extension 29320, or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.

    whatusay,

Maybe you're just not educated enough, not eloquent enough, not empathetic enough...or just wrong. Have you considered that the problem could be you? just sayin'

If you hate someone enough to kill them, imagine thinking about them every day...while you spend the rest of your life in jail.

At the very least, avoidance seems like a much better way to deal with these people. I mean, you don't like them...why hang around them? Why not move if you're really worried what you might do? (shrug)
