— A 36-year-old man was arrested Sunday and charged with first-degree murder after authorities say he shot and killed a Knightdale man Saturday afternoon.

According to officials with the Wake County Sheriff's Department, Neil Algernon Curtis Dick, of 1208 Rutledge Landing Drive, shot and killed Derrick Dean Natson, 47, of 1265 Sweetgrass St. after he walked to the driveway of Dick's home at about 3:45 p.m.

Natson was traveling in a truck with two other men before exiting the vehicle and walking to the house, authorities said. The two other men in the vehicle fled the scene.

Dick was being held Sunday at the Wake County Detention Center under no bond.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call the Wake County Sheriff's Office at 919-856-6800.
