Man caught on camera stealing air conditioning unit
Surveillance cameras caught a man stealing an air conditioning unit from a backyard near Tropicana Avenue and Boulder Highway.
Posted — UpdatedLuis Magana has multiple surveillance cameras and warning signs guarding his home, but it wasn't enough to keep one man from jumping over his backyard fence.
Once inside, the thief found a convenient way to take Magana's air conditioning unit.
"I have a little yard wagon and he loaded my yard wagon with my property and rolled away with it," Magana said.
It was all caught on camera.
Magana said the thief could be in for a surprise because the air conditioner hasn't been turned on in five years and is likely broken.
He's still worried for his neighbors though.
"I would like to see the community put together a group of neighborhood watch," he said.
