Man carjacked at Fayetteville gas station

A Fayetteville man was shot and his car stolen early Saturday morning while he and some friends were outside a gas station near the intersection of Cedar Creek and Locks Creek roads.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man was shot and his car stolen early Saturday morning while he and some friends were outside a gas station near the intersection of Cedar Creek and Locks Creek roads.

Police said the victim was wounded in the left arm. He was taken to an area hospital.

Three men were confronted by three others around 4 a.m., police said. The suspects demanded money and drove away in the victim's 2003 Chevrolet Suburban. The vehicle was found less than a mile away.

Police had only a vague description of the suspects, and no one had been arrested by mid-day Saturday.
