— Wayne County sheriff's deputies arrested a 51-year-old man Thursday on charges that he operated a meth lab out of his Seven Springs home.

George Nelson Tripp, of 1968 Pineview Cemetery Road, was charged with one count of manufacturing methamphetamine. He was placed in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $225,000 secured bond.

Investigators said they found an active, clandestine lab at Tripp's house during a search. The State Bureau of Investigation assisted at the crime scene.

alright goldy kitty, maybe you should take your own medicine....I do know the facts, and it WAS reported...on many occasions.....the law even stayed in a rental across the street from him for like 6 months....

When the community questioned the law about it, all we were told is they didn't have enough to do anything about it...

So....it is right down the road. I am "there"....and dayum glad they FINALLY locked him up.

Wayne County could use a bunch more of that!

You need to know the whole story before throwing stones. Yes the police did do their jobs. But the local news paper and the media dont know the whole story either. To know the whole story you had to be there.

Plus if you knew this has been going on for years why didnt YOU do something??

Like I said, glad he FINALLY got locked up.

This is one that had a red and green light run on top of a pole....for his traffic....

That was years ago....and he's JUST NOW getting locked up.

It is allowed to carry on too long, and do too much damage before it is stopped.
