— A Morrisville man was arrested in connection with illegal dumping near a foot bridge in Bynum.

Korey Desmond Arther Bradley, 22, of 2413-H Gazebo Drive, was charged Monday with felonious commercial littering.

The charge stems from a Feb. 21 incident where police said Bradley was hired to remove debris and trash from a residence in Bynum. The trash included boxes, table, a freezer and Christmas decorations. After loading the trash, it was dumped at the foot bridge, police said.

Bradley is being held under a $2,500 bond. He is scheduled to appear July 9 in Pittsboro District Court.

As a Bynum resident, I am very happy to learn that this man has been arrested and charged with a felony. His crime was not only against the people who hired him to clean out the house (and, presumably, dispose of the trash properly) but also against Bynumites and all the folks who come here to enjoy the river. Many thanks to the Chatham Country Sheriff's Dept. for catching and charging him.

i'm glad he was caught and arrested. far too many times people that illegally dump get away with it... litterers in general get away with it all the time and i'm tired of seeing people using the road as an ashtray.
