Man arrested in Fremont shooting

Fremont, N.C. — The suspect in a double shooting in Fremont turned himself into authorities on Thursday, police said.
Authorities Kentrell Edwards Alston was having an argument about money with two other men outside a house at 302 S. Goldsboro St. when he pulled a gun and shot them
The men, whose names were not released, were taken to Pitt Memorial Hospital and were in serious but stable condition Thursday night.
Alston is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflicting serious injury. He was being held under a $102,500 bond in the Wayne County jail.
Drugs were found on one of the victims, police said.
There have been multiple calls to the house involving drugs and prostitution, police said.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
