A Warren County man was arrested Saturday in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning.

WARREN COUNTY, N.C. — A Warren County man was arrested Saturday in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning.

Brandon Tyrell Perry, 25, of Henderson was charged with one count of second degree murder and one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

The arrest came soon after a fatal shooting that occurred at 119 Carter Lane in Warrenton after 1 a.m. Saturday. Following an altercation, Perry shot Jimmie Reed Watson, 58, of Norlina, said police. Norlina died at the scene. Another victim, Christopher Demore Holden, 40, of Henderson was transported to Maria Parham Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Perry was in custody at the Warren County Jail. An investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
