DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man was arrested Friday and charged with the Wednesday morning slaying of another man outside a local apartment complex, police said.

Kenyon Akeem Deloatch, 24, of James Street, was arrested Friday morning and charged with murder in connection with the death of 25-year-old Randolph Ladarius James of Glasson Street.

Officers were called to the Oakley Square apartment complex at 1835 Cheek Road early Wednesday and found James lying in the parking lot. He had been beaten and then shot multiple times, police said.
