Durham police officers were called 12:20 a.m. to a report of a shooting at 1126 Hoover Road. When they arrived, officers found a 26-year-old man and 22-year-old pregnant woman, both of whom had been shot.

Police said the woman's injuries were life-threatening, but the man's were not considered life-threatening. Authorities said at the time that the man and woman had been shot multiple times, and that the woman was shot in the head.

The conditions of the victims were not immediately available, but police said last week that the woman did give birth to her child.
