— Goldsboro police on Thursday arrested a 24-year-old man who they say is responsible for the September shooting death of an 18-year-old inside a night club.

According to investigators, Quinton Leon Swinson shot and killed Jairus Mikeal Saunders inside Teaser's Night Club, on Mercer Street, about 1:15 a.m. on Sept. 30.

Swinson was arrested Thursday afternoon at a home in Mount Olive by officers with the Goldsboro Police Department's S.E.U. team and the Wayne County Sheriff's Department SWAT Team.

He was in the Wayne County jail Thursday night under no bond and will make his first court appearance on first-degree murder charges on Nov. 5.

Authorities also served Swinson on 11 outstanding warrants Thursday following his arrest, ranging from driving with a revoked license to disorderly conduct. He received a $12,500 secured bond on the 11 outstanding warrants.

How do you know what the police were doing?? People hide and run from the police all the time. They also have people helping them hide. Unfortunately for them there are ones that don't mind talking either. It was only a matter of time. Don't blame the police if you don't know anything other than your opinion.

Great job WCSO & GPD!!! Keep up the good work. Thanks for getting another bad guy off of our streets. Goldsboro needs all the help we can get.

That's how it's done, WCSO & GPD! :) Good job, and thanks for getting him off our streets!

Wow! He was less than 15 miles from the scene of the crime. Somebody must have ratted him out cause the police wasn't looking very hard to find him! Shame!

Teaser's is not on Mercer St.....it is on 117 South. It's a trashy strip club and I'm amazed there aren't more shootings/stabbings there.
