<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — A Winterville man surrendered to police Wednesday in connection to a November sexual assault on the Fayetteville State University campus.

Jonathan O’Bryon Jones, 24, of the 4900 block of Old Tar Road in Winterville was charged with three counts of second-degree sex offenses and four counts of sexual battery.

Authorities said the charges stemmed from a Nov. 23 incident that occurred in the dorm room of a 22-year-old female acquaintance of Jones.

Jones was being held in Pitt County under $250,000 secured bond.
