— Raleigh police arrested a man after a high-speed chase on Interstate 40 and U.S. Highway 70 from Garner to Cary Sunday evening.

The pursuit began around U.S. Highway 70 and Loop Road in Garner after Germaine Levell Brown, 31, refused to pull over for authorities. Raleigh police were seeking Brown after he threatened deadly violence against others, spokesman Jim Sughrue said.

Multiple law enforcement agencies were involved in the pursuit, which was monitored closely by on-duty commanders and supervisors, Sughrue said.

The pursuit ended shortly before 6 p.m. when authorities halted Brown’s vehicle on I-40, near N.C. Highway 54. Brown was taken into custody without further incident, Sughrue said.

There were no reports of injuries or vehicular wrecks related to the pursuit.

Brown was charged with three counts of violating a domestic-violence order, second-degree trespassing, injury to real property and fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle. He was placed in the Wake County Jail and scheduled for a first court appearance on Monday.

He was released on Oct. 27 after serving a one-month prison sentence for violating a protective order and a probation revocation, according to state Department of Correction records.

Brown's criminal record, which dates to 1994, includes multiple convictions for communicating threats and making harassing phone calls, DOC records show. He has also been convicted of assault on a female and possessing a weapon on campus.

After fifteen years of convictions for violent crimes and assaulting females is the justice system just waiting until he kills someone to lock him up for good? I would hardly call that the definition of a good father.

    Ms. Banesita,

I agree with all the postings. You truly don't know this person...I wouldn't even dare call him a man. Of the 9+ children that he has, how many does he provide for? Just because he tells you he is a good father doesn't mean that it's true. If you truly know him, you also know that he has deep deep issues. You also know he doesn't support or see his children. He is abusive and wreckless both with his life and others and has been this way since childhood. So, please don't speak on things that you know NOTHING about. I am one of the many mother's to Germaine's child/children. How do you explain this craziness to a child that is old enough to watch the news and knows what is going on? I would say that the justice system has failed miserably... but, honestly it seems that it's really time to stop denying that he has some sort of mental illness.

Ms Banesita, turn off the caps and take off the blinders.

Assault on a female, communicating threats of death, just released from jail Oct 27, his rap sheet goes back to 1994 and he's 31. That means he started his "career" at 18 years old, and has continued since then. Career criminal on a path to commit murder. Keep your caps to yourself, but more importantly, keep this animal locked up BEFORE he kills someone.

    Hush now Ms Banesita.

Ms. Banesita, you need not too to comment on him being a good father unless you are one of his many baby mamas or his soon to be ex-wife. You think you know him...but probably know of him from the club scene. He has sick demented things about his own children. Please be wise before you comment on people "you think you know".

Another habitual criminal who should be locked up instead of out on the streets.

    Ms. Banesita -
"Refused to pull over for authorities", threatened deadly violence against others",
"charged with three counts of violating a domestic-violence order, second-degree trespassing, injury to real property and fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle",
He was released on Oct. 27 after serving a one-month prison sentence for violating a protective order and a probation revocation".

He may be a good friend but sounds like he has some anger issues......what else are people supposed to think? Most of the people that post on here DON'T know those envolved in the stories. They can only comment on what they read.
