Man acquitted in Rocky Mount slaying

A jury deliberated less than two hours before acquitting Christian Miranda, 39, in the death of Marvin Braswell, 20.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — A Rocky Mount man was found not guilty Thursday in a January 2007 shooting death.

A jury deliberated less than two hours before acquitting Christian Miranda, 39, in the death of Marvin Braswell, 20, who was shot at 717 Starling Way.

Braswell was shot in the head and was later pronounced dead at Nash General Hospital.
