— A Goldsboro man is accused of taking inappropriate video at Crabtree Valley Mall.

Police charged Brian Williams, 28, with secret peeping.

Officers said Williams used a cell phone to record the video.

He was in the Wake County Jail Sunday night under a $30,000 bond.

Williams has been charged with peeping before, police said.

well, we are getting looser and looser on reg tv to compete with cable which is wide open and the internet which is really wide open. The sexual content the language content the advertising content, all seem to have no limit. condoms, feminine sprays, womens person privates cleaning products, viagra, and so on we are blitzed with them the ads are beyond suggestive. shows like Raymond, do not leave much to the imagination, as does Friends, Gloria & Michael from Archie Bunker a sow called 2 1/2 leaves nothing to the imagination. Nothing excuess the behavior of perverts, but it is easy to see how the get turned on

Ok. let me get this straight! Some posters here believe this guy taped a cellphone to his shoe and took these inappropriate photos? HAHA.. Please tell me how he took the photos unless he was bending over! You people amaze me with the thinking! So, whats wrong with taking video in a public place? Nothing! WRAL does it all the time.. Now if this guy was in the bathroom or something then that would be a different story.

The phone was taped to his shoe. It wasn't pictures it was video.

I shop at Crabtree quite a bit, and I've observed men trying to see up women's skirts while the women were climbing the stairs. Now, I know that's a public place, but I certainly don't think that it's right for a woman to constantly be subjected to that kind of "invasion of privacy". Maybe Crabtree Mall needs to rethink how they do the stairs, (and the glass-fronted elevator), to prevent this very kind of behavior. And men need to grow up!!

The article doesn't state where in the mall he was taking these photos. If he was hiding, that would be peeping. But if he openly put his phone up skirts, then there is nothing wrong, legally, with that because there is no expected privacy in public space--unless in a bathroom.

Obviously, this person has a huge problem. To go through all of this to take a snapshot of some female. He needs some help from a professional to quell his problem. But, he has done this before. This may be a felony. I hope that he, and all like him will get caught, and some mental help. If not, he may be on his way to harm someone.

"During the holidays, we were told by mall police that someone was doing the same thing and taking photos of kids on Santa's lap from the 2nd floor, and because of it, we could not take photos of any kind of our own child! Pretty pathetic"

    JAT -
Can you please give more specifics on this?
Did they arrest the man that was taking pictures of these kids?
Does anyone know the story about this?
If so, please email me at LEK02NJ@aol.com

On his shoe......didn't anyone notice that?
They used to say (if a woman was assaulted) don't blame the woman for how she dresses.
I don't think you can honestly say that now, especially when even the 12 and 13 yr olds are dressing provocativly.
