Man accused of stabbing ex-girlfriend in Garner arrested

Garner, N.C. — A 38-year-old man accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend Tuesday night has been taken into custody, officials confirmed Thursday morning.
Perry Michael Wilson is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and violation of a domestic violence protective order. He was in the Wake County jail Thursday morning and is scheduled to make a first court appearance at 2 p.m.
According to investigators, Wilson stabbed Denique Kearney, 34, at a home on Faye Drive at about 10 p.m. Tuesday. Kearney was listed in fair condition at a local hospital Wednesday.
