A man charged with driving while impaired is also accused of trying to bribe the police officer who arrested him.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — A man charged with driving while impaired  is also accused of trying to bribe the Raleigh police officer who arrested him.

The officer stopped Brian Patenaude when his vehicle swerved on Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh, according to court documents.

Patenaude admitted twice to being impaired and also offered the officer a $2,000 bribe, court documents stated.
