Posted May 16, 2014

— A 6-year-old boy and his 29-year-old stepfather were wounded early Friday in a shooting at an apartment complex in Durham, police said.

Officers responding to the apartment on East Pilot Street found the man with a gunshot wound to his foot. The child had serious injuries but is expected to survive, police said. Their names were not released.

According to a 911 call released Friday, a witness reported the boy was shot in his stomach but was conscious.

Police have not said what led to the shooting, but they said there was no intruder in the house.

The incident remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.

Crime Stoppers pays cash for information leading to arrests in felony cases and callers never have to identify themselves.

I'm still trying to find out where they (HANS & GRAND UNION) go during a story involving knives, bats and poison. Don't worry though. They will be here.

I'm surprised he didn't at least get Grand Union to fill in for him.
