Man, 59, critically injured in Fayetteville hit-and-run

Fayetteville police were seeking the public's help Thursday to find the driver of a car that hit a pedestrian late Wednesday on North Street near Brinkley Drive.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police were seeking the public's help Thursday to find the driver of a car that hit a pedestrian late Wednesday on North Street near Brinkley Drive. 

According to investigators, a car hit Jerry Williams, 59, at about 11:30 p.m. as he crossed the road and then left the scene. Williams was in critical condition Thursday morning at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. 

No information about the car involved has been released.
