Man, 54, killed by hit-and-run driver after being ejected from motorcycle

A motorcycle driver was killed in a crash in the Central West End overnight.

ST. LOUIS, MO — A motorcycle driver was killed in a crash in the Central West End overnight.

The motorcycle was traveling north in the 700 block of North Kingshighway when it hit the back of a Jeep Cherokee that was turning east on Enright. The motorcycle driver, identified as 54-year-old Steffen White, was ejected in the crash.

After being ejected into the southbound lanes, a suspect vehicle, described as a burgundy sedan, hit White and left the scene.

Following the incident, White was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Accident reconstruction was called to investigate.

The investigation is ongoing.
