Man, 35, killed in shooting at Goldsboro home

A 35-year-old Goldsboro man died early Tuesday after being shot at a home in the 1000 block of Devereaux Street, police said.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A 35-year-old Goldsboro man died early Tuesday after being shot at a home in the 1000 block of Devereaux Street, police said.

Officers responding to a call at about 1 a.m. found Alton Leevon Fields Jr. inside a home with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Wayne County Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

No arrests have been made, and Goldsboro police did not indicate that they had any suspects in the shooting.
