Man, 31, wounded in Harnett County shooting

Cameron, N.C. — A 31-year-old man was critically wounded Tuesday evening in a shooting at a home on Oakwater Drive in Cameron, the Harnett County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies responding to 356 Oakwater Drive at about 7:15 p.m. found Jimmy Bell in a wooded area near the home. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment of gunshot wounds, and he was listed in critical condition Wednesday morning.
Investigators said a person did take responsibility for the shooting. The incident remains under investigation.
No charges have been filed.
