Man, 21, killed in Fayetteville shooting

A 21-year-old man died early Saturday after being shot in the area of Blue Street, Fayetteville police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 21-year-old man died early Saturday after being shot in the area of Blue Street, Fayetteville police said.

According to police, Lavar Remo Gregory was dropped off at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center emergency room at about 2:30 a.m. While officers and detectives conducted their preliminary investigation, Gregory died.

Police were seeking the public's help in identifying the car and individuals in the surveillance images. The pictures depict a white 4-door car at the emergency room entrance of the hospital.

The shooting remains under investigation.
