FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police filed robbery charges against a Raleigh man and two juveniles, who are also suspects in a home invasion in the capital city.

Investigators said Anthony Gaither, 18, of Glascock Street, and two juveniles entered Clark's Farm Smokehouse & Grill, 1652 Cedar Creek Road in Fayetteville, around 3:20 p.m. Thursday.

Police said the robbers tried to break into the cash register, but it was locked. They fled the scene without getting any money from the business.

Witnesses gave a vehicle description to police, and Lt. C. Kimble spotted the vehicle a few minutes later. The suspects were arrested without incident.

A joint investigation by Fayetteville and Raleigh police revealed that Gaither and the two juveniles were wanted for a home invasion in Raleigh and that their getaway vehicle had been stolen during that crime.

Fayetteville police charged Gaither and the juveniles with attempted common-law robbery, conspiracy to commit common-law robbery and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Raleigh police said they planed to charge the three suspects for the home invasion.

Officers withheld the juveniles' identities.
