It's not about gun control. I was born and raised in the South with guns everywhere and we never shot anyone. These shootings are about people who aren't taught the value of life. Sad.

Murders are relatively rare in the United States too. It just doesn't seem like it because every story about a shooting is hyped up by those with an irrational fear of guns. You have about a .0048% chance of being murdered in a given year in the US. That's by any means, not just guns. And if you avoid the worst parts of the largest cities (Chicago and Detroit come to mind), those odds go down a lot. I'm OK with keeping guns out of the hands of violent criminals. But law abiding citizens have a human right to self defense. Stop trying to violate my rights because of your irrational fears.

You cannot pick and choose your liberties. Which Constitutional amendment are you ok with infringements on the 2nd or the 14th.

I know I know You like other western non democratic countries better. Oh that way you can pick and chose which laws to obey and not to. Got bet I know who you voted for

And you take the legal guns from the law abiding citizens, and then they are left only able to carry a knife to a gunfight when he has to defend himself against an armed bad guy. (Because the word I wanted to use is frowned upon in this establishment.)

Yes, agreed, it IS a problem, but restricting legal firearm ownership is NOT the answer. Maybe we could actually, ohhh, I don't know...stiffen the laws up a little bit and keep the criminal element behind bars where they belong?
