Man, 18, charged after stabbing, house fire in Coats

After the smoke cleared, the home had been gutted and two people were sent to the hospital.

The first call from 19 Keyman Drive, just after 7 p.m., was a report of a woman stabbed in the neck. Moments later, fire crews were called to the home to find it engulfed in flames.

Christopher Valdez, who is on probation for a weapons charge, faces multiple charges, including assault on a female, authorities said.

Authorities did not identify Valdez's alleged victims but said they were his girlfriend, a family member and a neighbor.

Two children were inside of the home at the time of the incident. They were not hurt.
