Saf Organics offers a growing line of organic and gluten-free skincare products and cosmetics that are designed for those with allergies and food sensitivities.

Stephanie Ferguson, a long-time make-up artist, developed Saf Organics, in part, so she could kiss her allergy-prone sons without worry. Most cosmetics and skincare products contain grain-based fillers, which Ferguson's younger son, in particular, can be allergic too.

"I had to be careful about my nail polish," she told me. "I had to be careful about my lip balm, my lipstick."

After finding various products from a big variety of makers that fit her needs, she eventually decided to start her own line for those with allergies and food sensitives or loved ones with the same issue. Her products are organic and gluten free. And she can customize her ingredients based on her customer's needs.

I featured Ferguson in October. Saf Organics offers a growing line of skincare products and cosmetics. It was nominated for a Martha Stewart American Made Award this year.

She has lotions, facial serums, blushes, skin masks, anti-aging serums and more. There are products for babies and men as well.

And, this fall, she's come out with more products. They include a deodorant cream, skin salve (for psoriasis and eczema sufferers), and a beard and mustache wax for men.

The products are offered on her website and at Nora & Nicky's resale boutiques in downtown Raleigh and at Sutton Square in north Raleigh. They'd make a great stocking stuffer!
