Lynda Loveland: Snow day

Sometimes you just gotta stop and go sledding!

Snow days are all fun and games for kids. For parents, the day is very cyclical; bundle them up, un-bundle them, dry their clothes, feed them, give them hot chocolate ... repeat. This go around, I decided to forget about trying to get stuff done around the house and join the sub-freezing snow cycle!

I loaded kids and sleds into the car and we set off in search of the perfect sledding hill. The first site was a bust, but we scored on the second stop. We flew down those hills till the sun set and we couldn't feel our fingers. It was sooooo worth it! I'll remember sledding with the kids. I doubt I would have remembered cleaning out the kitchen drawers.
