Lynda Loveland: Countdown to couple time

I have three words for you: No kids allowed!

We are sooooo overdue for some time away, alone, without the kids. My husband and I used to take a vacation together every year, but the last few years, stuff came up.

Whether it’s Disney or this or that, stuff came up. Believe me, we know how important it is to get away and recharge the batteries but we just couldn’t make it happen. Until now.

Wooooohooooo!

The countdown started about two weeks ago. Every time things got a little crazy, we just looked at each other and said, “in four weeks we’re going to be sipping cocktails on the beach!”

We both seem to be calmer knowing our time is coming!!! It’s like the time BK, before kids. My husband and I have such a great time together. Sometimes we forget that because we get caught in our crazy day-to-day routine.

Well, no more!!! The “parents only” party starts soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One more thought, if you take a vacation sans kids, it should be tax deductible or at least qualify on your flex medical card. I’m just saying …
