Lumberton woman charged following fatal shooting

According to officials with the Lumberton Police Department, officers responded to an apartment building located at 518 E. 9th Street around 10 p.m. At the scene, they found the victim, Kenneth Wayne Bryant, of Spruce Street, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police arrested Angela Simone Irons, 46, who lived at the address, and charged her with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Irons is being held in the Robeson County Detention Center without bond.
