Raleigh police arrested a teenager on Wednesday in connection to the death of a 13-year-old girl earlier in the week. According to the Raleigh Police Department, Mykia Daniel, an eighth-grader at Ligon Middle School, was shot and killed on Monday in a north Raleigh Apartment. Police said the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released at the appropriate time.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — State Department of Insurance investigators arrested a Lumberton insurance agent Wednesday and charged him with staging an accident.

Robert Gene Killens, 51, of 1005 N. Elm St. was charged with insurance fraud and was released on a $5,000 bond.

Investigators said Killens, a self-employed insurance agent, staged an accident in Lumberton on Feb. 1 and filed a fraudulent claim with Nationwide Insurance.
