Lowes Foods Super Doubles deals with Sunday coupons

Posted June 8, 2013

Here are some additional Lowes Foods Super Doubles deals using the coupons from the 6/9 SmartSource insert. I get this insert in our Saturday Wall Street Journal, but I assume the coupon values will be the same in the local paper on Sunday. If there are differences, I will make the changes on Sunday.

Yoplait yogurt single cups, .50 - .40/6 or .50/8 coupons from 6/9 SS (there is also a .40/6 SvingStar.com digital e-coupon available)

Valley Fresh chunk chicken in water, white meat, 5 oz, $2.39 - $1/2 coupon from 6/9 SS = 2 for $2.78 ($1.39 each)

Valley Fresh chunk chicken white and dark meat, 10 oz, $2.45 - $1/2 coupon from 6/9 SS = 2 for $2.90 ($1.45 each)

Fiber One Protein bars, 5 count box, $2.50 - .50 coupon from 6/9 SS = $1.50

French's honey mustard, 12 oz, $2.50 - .50 coupon from 6/9 SS = $1.50

Wheat Thins, $3.00 - $1/2 coupon for 8.1 oz or larger = $2 each (coupon indicates DND but will double if your store allows it to scan)

Mott's apple juice, $3.19 - $1 coupon from 6/9 SS = $2.19 (coupon indicates Do Not Double with new bar code so probably won't double)

Jergen's moisturizer, 10 oz, $4.29 - $1 coupon from 6/9 SS = $2.29

There are also various $1 coupons for products like the Hormel entrees and Mio water enhancer but the items are not on sale and not a very good deal even with coupon doubled. Some of the deals above are also higher than I would pay for them, but if you are brand loyal to those items,  they may be deals for you. Honestly, none of the deals above interest me. Thankfully, there were plenty of other deals this week at Lowes Foods that DID interest me!

Faye- it was the apex lowes food.. I mean overall the staff is pretty nice it just seems they have no trading what so ever.. Yes a couple f the coupons said that didn't work said "do not double in very fine print at the bottom, I just didn't see it because I'm so used to it saying do not double on the top of the coupon next to the expiration date. So I kindly said oh I did not see that can we please take that item off then? And they were frustrated with me, the few other did not say anything about not doubling and the guy stood there and read all of the fine print of each coupon that didn't double and said well, the register doubles the ones that ae supposed to double, I had to get a mgr to double them! An I was in line for a long time, it really just got embarrassing. He continued to ring up my plums as peaches, and asked me if my zucchini was a cucumber :) it was a mess!

I'm hands down done trying, they just don't hold a candle to Harris Teeter."

I'm in TOTAL agreement... I don't ever plan on going there again! I had a couple stop me in the store to ask about my binder...I told them that I saved the most money at HT and CVS and that I hardly EVER shop Lowe's because they are ALWAYS out of stock and they had very poor CS. I hope someone from LF heard me.

Did anyone have problems with the pork coupon? Went to Lowes yesterday and it wouldn't scan at all, so they wouldn't take it.

That's too bad, ilovelucy. Which store was this that you had difficulty with? Did any of your coupons indicate Do Not Double?

ilovelucy31--I had a similar experience yesterday at LF. One of my coupons did not double and the cashier even said "I don't think we are doubling coupons." I politely told him that the previous 10 coupons doubled just fine. The service at HT is so much better!

I am no longer participating in lowes foods super doubles, which is the only reason I would ever go to a Lowes, so that makes me 100% done shopping there. I really don't know how some people did as well as they did there, I did get a couple of good deals my first round, with some issues, but by the 2nd round I'm done for good. They nit-picked just about every coupon I had, half of mine didn't double and they made sure to find a reason why it should not, they SHOULD try to give the customer some benefit of the doubt and not such a HARD TIME, like HT does. I'm hands down done trying, they just don't hold a candle to Harris Teeter.

I agree Faye! I did 3 shops at LF this week. I pass by one twice a day so it's easy for me to stop in. On one of my shops I also took advantage of some meat and produce sales. I really felt like I robbed the store on the other two shops though! It's the best I've ever done at LF!!
