Went to Lowe's Foods in Knightdale this evening for my ONLY Super Doubles trip. I took 12 coupons, they only had 2 products. ALSO, I have never been treated so rudely there before. I felt like a criminal. The Customer Service chick was rude to me in front of customers AND the Cashier. In fact, the cashier apologized to me. Harris Teeter, you just GOTTA stay the same. I will NEVER be able to go grocery shopping.

LOL, yes, sometimes I find myself wanting to give a cashier instructions on how to scan a coupon. They'll wave it around wildly over the scanner at lightning speed, and I'm thinking to myself "How do they expect the scanner to be able to read that?"

  • mothar1 Jul 29, 2013

tolers55, yep, that is the policy, if an IP doesn't scan, they don't take it. I had 5 like that, the cashier at Lowes did one try and then that was that. I asked if they ever manually put them in, she and the manager said no. Funny thing is I used one of them yesterday (Fruttare) at HT and it scanned just fine on the first try.

had an experience at lowes foods yesterday at forestville crossings shopping center. had quite a few 'printed' coupons that would not scan so the checker entered them in by hand. had 2 $2.00 coupons for nutri dent dog treats and when he did not double them i questioned him. he called manager over who told me that their doubles coupon policy is to only double those up to $1.98. their ad advertises coupons doubled up to $2.00. the manager then not only did not double my $2.00 coupons but when she found out the checker had entered in some of my printed coupons she refused to honor any coupon that would not scan..... any thoughts anyone???

I did not know that about the coupon fraud stuff...I was always under the impression that a coupon wouldn't scan if it was for the wrong item. Lesson learned-thanks for the info Faye.

My Lowes carries no Cover Girl nail products and the Oxy is $5.99 :(
