Nanee Lion, I don't know about official policy on coupons and mark down items, but I will tell the cashier as I hand them my coupons that the one(s) for item(s) from the mark-down bin might beep because the computer might not match up the barcodes. It seems like since I began doing this, I've had greater success in them being willing to manually enter the coupon, since they know why it beeped. If it's a new cashier sometimes they'll ask the manager for assistance. If the cashier and/or manager then say they don't take Qs for mark-down items, I just politely ask them to remove the item(s) from my order, if it no longer seems like a good price to me.

In Clayton, I have been told that they do not take coupons on marked down items. Have not read anything in the coupon policy but have been informed of this from numerous cashiers. Anyone else heard about this?
