BenP - very true about the speculation. The marketing person I spoke with was very clear that they did not want details leaked so they were not sharing any until it was finalized and published on their website. So we'll just have to wait and see.

Honestly, if the big news is that they will take coupons for specific products like Publix store coupons from their in-store flyers, it won't make a difference to most because there is only 1 Publix in the Triangle at this time and most people are not going to drive to the far end of Cary to get a coupon to save 50 cents. And most other grocery stores don't offer store coupons that are not printables. I am looking forward to seeing the clarification, since I have seen the tv ads about taking coupons from other stores, but it remains to be seen how much this will really impact most of us.

I figured he was playing it up some for hits. But he does at least take the extra step to separate what he was told from his opinion. So many blogs speculate and present it as fact.

BenP - Thanks so much for reading the blog! I have spoken with Lowes Foods and they are making some changes to their coupon policy. I'm not so sure I would call it HUGE news as the blogger you referenced did, but they are planning to clarify information about their competitor's coupons. among other things. I'll make a post about it with some additional details so everyone is up to speed.
