Thanks Faye! I love the whitewheat bread, it is always fresh long after the due date, unlike some other breads that go stale BEFORE the due date.

LuvinCam. that's because they put so many preservatives in their bread, just like some others LOL. I've kept some (different kind) for 6 months just to see (not eat) and it still *looked* edible!!!

Oh wow jma...I didn't even think about that. I guess you can't win for losing. :-(

LuvinCam, it's really sad and pathetic, isn't it?? Sorry, for *all* of us! ;-( I was told this also, that's why I decided to test it for myself!! Almost makes me not want to eat any processed food, but I really don't stress about it, because it's nearly impossible ;-)

I remember my dad would always say that if mold doesn't want to eat it, you probably shouldn't either...LOL! Growing up, we never ate margarine (I still don't). You could leave margarine out for years and I bet it would not grow mold.
