Has anyone else tried to use the cubbison crouton q's? I went on Thursday and they wouldn't let me use them since they weren't ringing up $1 each. They would not just give me the 'up to' amount.

Well, even if the lower prices may be just a fond memory, a 4 pound chicken for $4 is still a pretty good deal as a family of 4 should be able to get 2 meals out of it -- 1 meal as a roasted chicken, and the other as soup from the leftovers and the carcass. I'm happy when I only have to pay $2 for the protein!

Sadly, I think you may be right, jdouglas. We are now seeing more of the .99/lb and it has been quite a while since we saw the lower prices you mentioned on a whole chicken. :-(

  • jdouglas13 Jan 15, 2014

$0.99/lb is a decent price for whole chickens. While not the $0.59 or $0.79/lb price that HT has once in a while, it has been almost a year, I think since HT has offered that price. $0.99 /lb may be the new stock up price.
