There's also a fabulous deal on Xtra laundry detergent! Lowes Foods will be open Thanksgiving Day until 2:00 PM.

These deals are valid 11/14 - 11/22.

Lowes Coupon Policy Basics:

Doubles coupons .99 or less everyday

Doubles up to 20 coupons per day

Doubles up to 4 identical coupons (must have required product to go with each coupon)

BOGO sales ring up at half price. If you just buy one, it still rings up at half price and you can still use a coupon on it! I love that policy!

Reminder: You can now add digital coupons to your Lowes Foods Reward card by going to Lowesfoods.com. These coupons will not double.

The official Lowes Foods Coupon Policy can be found on their website HERE. Scroll down to see the policy once you get to their website.

Double Gas Rewards: From 10/3 through the end of the year, Lowes Foods is offering double gas rewards at Lowes Foods fuel centers and Wilco Hess gas stations. Save 10 cents per gallon for every $100 spent in-store with your Fresh Rewards Card.

Gift Card promotion: Purchase $75 in participating gift cards and receive $10 off your next shopping visit. Offer valid 10/14 – 1/27/12. The gift cards shown in the ad include Apple app store, Nike, Lowes home improvement store, Toys R Us, Michael’s. See store for more details. I don’t know if there are other participating gift cards. If you are planning to spend $75 at any of the participating stores anyway, you’ll make $10 on the purchase by getting the gift cards at Lowes Foods and getting the $10 coupon to use on your next order.

Kraft Foods promotion: Save $5 at checkout when you buy 10 participating Kraft Foods items.

    ok it's working now!

  • dawnl39 Nov 15, 11:35 a.m.

Ocean Spray is having a problem with their coupon loading - I called the # on their Facebook page and they are mailing me the coupon. Unfortunately it will take 7-10 business days so I won't have it for Thanksgiving but I'll have it for Christmas. Seems kinda weird they just can't email it. If you want to call for the coupon the # is 1-800-662-3263

Has anyone been able to print the cranberry coupon on Facebook? I keep getting an error message...

Faye...Do you think this is the cheapest we will find ham's for Thanksgiving? I wouldn't think they would have a better sale next Wednesday, would they?

I am going to start a thread about the sweet potatoes so we can all share our ideas about storing and cooking the sweet taters.

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Nov 14, 8:07 p.m.

pss3, they keep for about a month in a cool place (not as cold as the fridge though). I keep mine in the dark pantry in a box. Here is some info on storing them:

    http://www.gardenguides.com/75793-store-sweet-potatoes.html

    and here's some more info:

Like you, I plan to buy about 20 lbs. I plan to bake them and then mash them, cool them and freeze them in freezer bags. I am not going to season them until I am ready to use them. One of the articles said they will last 10 - 12 months in the freezer. You could also cut them into sweet potato fries and freeze them. I also plan to make about 5 sweet potato pies and freeze them as well after I have baked them. Here's the recipe I am planning to use:

    http://allrecipes.com/Recipe-Tools/Print/Recipe.aspx?recipeID=12142&origin=detail&servings=8&metric=false

Here's some info on freezing them:

Great questions about the sweet potatoes, pss3. I was thinking along the same lines. I know they will keep well in a dark and cool place like a cellar/basement, but I don't have anything like that. The best I've got is the pantry. Don't know if it's cool enough. I do know you need to store them away from onions and garlic.

  • pss3 Nov 14, 6:55 p.m.

Anyone have any good ideas for keeping sweet potatoes fresh? I would love to buy 15-20lbs worth for my family but I don't want to cook and freeze them all. How long do y'all think they would keep?

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Nov 14, 5:03 p.m.

I agree Packy. Lowes is where I will do my main shop this week including picking up another turkey at .47/lb!

  • Packy Nov 14, 4:53 p.m.

Looks like Lowe's has the best deals, for me, this week. Guess I'll be skipping HT till next week.
