Wow, Wayne! You are very talented. My grandfather was also a woodworker and we have many beautiful pieces of furniture that he made as well and kids toys and decorative items. They are lovely pieces and will be handed down for many generations to come.

    Have fun clinton!

I love this idea and have tried desparately to get my daughter to take my two grandsons and granddaughter over to Lowes in Durham.
One of the greatest gifts I ever received was from watching my grandfathere making bread trays, butter molds, wooden spoons and forks and he made most of the toys his grandchildren played with. I have spent countless hours in my little woodshop building baby cradles, chairs, toys and a doll house consisting of 6 bedrooms, a living room, den, kitchen, entry hall a laundry room a nursery and two bathrooms, for my granddaughter. The house consists of over 300 pieces of furniture, 27 plants, 40 wall hangings, and enough decorations to decorate it for, Christmas, Easter, halloween ,and thanksgiving, 80% all handmade. Woodworking is such a rewarding hobby, and it can become a very fruitful occupation should one decide to dedicate enough time to it. I think everyone should know how to skillfully use their hands. Lowes is a very good place to start.
