I wasn't a sleep scheduler when my own babies were just wee little things. In those early months, we rocked and nursed and cuddled and did whatever we could to get them to sleep and get a little sleep ourselves.
Irene Gouge of Loving Lessons Pediatric Sleeping Consulting says that's just fine. Gouge said babies under six months old aren't ready for sleep training or schedules. During those early months, she says, just love on them.
