DURHAM, N.C. — The state's longest-running arts street festival is under way in the Bull CIty.

The 34th annual Centerfest took over Foster Street in downtown Durham on Saturday and will be on again Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

This year, close to 150 artists from across the country are showcasing their work at the event run by the Durham Arts Council.

Activities include music, dancing and food.

Organizers said they expect as many as 30,000 people to attend the festival by closing time Sunday.
