"you'll shoot your eye out!" A weapon is a weapon. I heard of a girl who was suspended from high school because a dinner knife was seen on the floor of her car by a parking lot security attendant. I guess we can't be too careful these days, but it's a shame these things have to happen at all. The neighborhood does not matter....by the way...have heard good things about that area.

Another example of fine parenting in action. The parents and the child need to be charged. BB gun or not, it's still a weapon and not something allowed on school grounds.

This is totally unacceptable! My daughter just got home and was telling me that kids were crying, texting their parents because they didn't know what would happen. Do these kids have noone watching them to see what's being taken from home? Yes, it turned out to be a BB gun, but I didn't know that during the lockdown, neither did the kids. Do these kids get to come back to the school?

I received a text from my daughter during this saying there was a code red, she is ok, and she loves me. I just lost 10 years from fear!

Even a BB gun can be damaging. I have a friend whose eye was put out by one when his brother accidentally shot him.
