ZEBULON, N.C. — Ten Triangle nonprofits were each awarded $40,000 Thursday for their contribution to making the region healthier.
The GlaxoSmithKline Impact Awards recognize nonprofit organizations that help “build healthy communities by tackling employment, housing, literacy, and other pressing community health challenges.”

The winners were chosen from a pool of nearly 60 applications and were sleected by a panel of local and national community health experts.
