RALEIGH, N.C. — Apex-based jewelry store Moon and Lola has announced plans to close its Raleigh and Charleston, S.C. locations.

"Due to changes in the retail industry lately, we are taking a look at our business with fresh eyes and pivoting with the market," Moon and Lola designer and founder Kelly Shatat wrote in a recent newsletter. "We will be concentrating on growing our e-commerce and doing more creative experiences and special events."

The Charleston store has already closed and company representatives said the downtown Raleigh location will close by the end of the month. The Cameron Village shop will be close at the end of April.
The downtown Apex location, the company's flagship, will remain open. Moon and Lola's products will also be available at partner retail stores and online.
