If you're a runner and, like me, are wondering how you can help out the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing, here's an opportunity.

A whole bunch of local groups have organized the Boston Memorial Run at 3 p.m., Sunday, in downtown Raleigh. They include Tobacco Road Marathon, RunRaleigh Races, nOg Run Club, Raleigh Galloway, City of Oaks Marathon, NCRC, Big Boss Run Club, Blue Run Club, WFAR, Black Girls Run, WOB Run Club and other groups.

They'll have a raffle to help raise money money for the victims. Prizes include entries into local races, gift cards or items from all of the local running stores, restaurant gift cards and much more.

This sounds like such a fabulous idea that's quickly grown into something huge. Check the Facebook page for all the details. Kids and jogging strollers are welcome.
