Live performances highlight Durham's CenterFest

The arts festival is being held this weekend in downtown Durham.

DURHAM, N.C.CenterFest Arts Festival will bring live music and family fun to downtown Durham this weekend.

Here are some event highlights:

Family fun - There will be a children's stage featuring music and cultural programs. Get involved and do some craft projects with your children, including making Mardi Gras masks and puppets. There will also be face painting, airbrush tattoos, train rides and an inflatable moon bounce. (Costs vary for those experiences.)
Live music - There will be six stages of live music, Performers include the African American Dance Ensemble, TROSA Band, Bulltown Strutters, Dark Water Rising and Durham Jazz Orchestra.
Art - Enjoy the work of more then 100 visual artists from across the country during CenterFest.
Get social: Make sure to participate in the online History Hunt, which is from Durham Arts Council and Durham History Hub. Follow the clues to find historic buildings, tweet selfies with the buildings, tag your photo #CenterFest and win prizes. Prizes include vouchers for free mini cupcakes from The Cupcake Bar, gift certificates to Letters Bookshop and free yoga classes from Global Breath. Get details at Durham History Hub's website.
